Android Marshmallow lets users translate text directly in-app

Language barriers are falling down one app at a time.

If you’re running Android 6.0 Marshmallow on your device, you can now translate text directly within apps without the trouble of switching between apps.

First, download the Translate app; you won’t have to open it for the feature to work. When you’re in an app like TripAdvisor, just highlight the text you want to translate. Next to the Cut and Copy options in your floating toolbar, you can now select Translate. The translation will appear in a pop-up right in the app.
