Apart from Facebook and Messenger, Mark Zuckerberg’s social network has churned out a host of other not-so-popular apps, like the Snapchat look-a9like Slingshot and Facebook Home, as well as several others. The social giant just increased the ranks of its apps with a new entrant – the video-centric Riff, which is already live on both Google’s Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Riff allows you and your friends to collaborate on videos that are best described as “video stories”. This is how it works – after you or anyone of your Facebook pals sets a topic and records the first portion of a new clip, you and the members of your social circle can enrich the video by recording something of your own. The resulting video project can either remain a Riff-exclusive or get shared on Facebook.
